Web-based mentoring management platform developed using Laravel, interconnected with an existing WordPress/LearnDash platform. The application allows administrators and mentors to manage students, availability, groups, sessions and automatic matching, while synchronizing data with WordPress via a secure API.

Context & Overall Objective
The project involved designing a mentoring management platform independent of an existing live WordPress site.
The goal was to provide a dedicated workspace for mentors and administrators without adding to the existing learning platform. Students continue to use WordPress, while all the business logic related to mentoring is centralized in a standalone Laravel application.
This architecture allows mentoring functionalities to evolve independently of the main site while ensuring secure communication between the two applications.

Mentor assignments were also designed to be automatically sent to WordPress.
Automatic Matching
The system was designed to automatically suggest the best mentors based on:
- availability
- the student’s level
- compatible time slots
When no perfect match was found, a manual selection was required.
Notifications
The platform was designed to automatically notify users of:
- a new assignment
- a change in availability
- a session reminder
- any significant change
Security
The application had to guarantee:
- separate access for Mentors and Administrators
- a secure API
- validation of all data
- strict permission control

Development of a Complete Laravel Application
The project involved the complete development of a standalone Laravel platform for managing mentoring, based on a modular and scalable architecture.
The application runs alongside the existing WordPress site while maintaining continuous data synchronization.
Implementation of a WordPress ↔ Laravel API
A secure REST API was developed to ensure communication between the two platforms.
This layer allows, in particular:
- student synchronization
- retrieval of onboarding data
- viewing LearnDash progress
- notification of new assignments
Development of the matching engine
A matching engine was developed to automatically suggest the most suitable mentor based on various professional criteria.
The system takes into account:
- availability

- shared time slots
and allows for manual validation when multiple options are possible.
